Ginger Teig Voelker

Program Associate

Ginger Voelker joined the Point Foundation as Program Associate in January of 2005, as one of three employees. Thriving on the being an integral part of team with a passionate cause, she quickly established her position with loyalty to the Point’s mission, and continues to play an important role in scholar coordination and communication.

Ginger’s diverse background ranges from film production, freelance writer, and ranch management; where she and her husband, Eric live on a historic 150 year old, 600-acre working cattle ranch at the base of Lake Tahoe’s Sierra Mountains.

She began on the stage, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts at UCLA. Feeling creatively limited in acting, Ginger worked behind-the-scenes in film production for three years in Los Angeles, two years in Nevada, and later, moved to Vancouver, BC. Planning to initiate her own production company, she attended the Vancouver Film School to gain aptitude in all levels of production. After completing the program, she stayed in BC for two years, working on a variety of film and television productions, in just as many varying positions. Her resume is quite eclectic, with experience in just about every film department. Upon returning to the States, Ginger founded the independent film company, Pony Express Pictures, in which she and her small crew of five wrote, produced, filmed and edited the documentary, Living Legend.

Along with being a mother to newborn daughter, Logan, Ginger considers herself a second mother to the Point Scholars, and she’s compassionate to their current and future goals with the Point Foundation.

She works directly with the scholars, and she assists the Program Director and other staff members with external communications and relationships, committee related activities, as well as, planning and coordinating scholar programs; including annual scholar selections, summer leadership conferences, and various fundraising events across the country.
