Chris Baker

Chris Baker is Vice President of Information Technology for NBC Universal, where he is responsible for the successful governance, planning, and delivery of a $100M annual portfolio of software development and hardware deployment projects and programs worldwide.  He joined NBC Universal in 2006 as Director IT Project Management and quickly expanded the role to include the corporate technology governance functions across the enterprise.  Baker also serves as Professional Development Chair on the Steering Committee for Out@NBCU, the GLBT employee affinity group for NBC Universal and its parent company, General Electric, producing events, conferences and seminars for GLBT and straight Ally employees.
 
Prior to joining NBC Universal, Baker led global implementations of SAP in 6 countries for M&M Mars Inc., while living abroad in Strasbourg, France.  He graduated from the University of Southern California, is an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, and is Lead Recruiter at USC for GE's management and leadership training programs.
 
Baker also served on the Trevor Project Board of Directors for 5 years as Technology Chair since its origin, and successfully completed 6 California AIDS Rides, the Alaska AIDS Vaccine Ride and the Canada AIDS Vaccine Ride, riding thousands of miles across North America on a bicycle and personally raising over $50,000 for vital services and programs benefitting the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and AIDS Vaccine research.  Legally married in California in 2009, Baker and his partner of 13 years, Tim Smith, reside in Valley Village, CA with their two Labradors, their cat and their African Sulcata Tortoise.
