2004 POINT SCHOLARS |
Chris McCall
University of Wisconsin at MadisonConcentration: German and Political ScienceChris is a Point Scholar alumnus. Chris was the youngest president in the history of the Pre-Law Society of the University of Wisconsin. As an openly gay columnist at one of the two student newspapers, the Badger Herald, he was also a source of encouragement and inspiration to the gay community on campus. Chris worked three jobs to make ends meet throughout college. Yet he still found time to maintain a high level of activism, including interning in the office of Sen. Russ Feingold, who has endorsed gay marriage. Chris would like to continue his education in law school and his activism as an attorney for the ACLU. In Chris own words: My primary goal in life is to reach a point where no person gay or straight, black or white, male or female is marginalized politically, socially or otherwise. |
