The Carlos Enrique Cisneros Point ScholarshipFor the benefit of LGBT students of distinction attending American University, Washington, DC The Carlos Enrique Cisneros Scholarship Fund has been created by his friends and family to honor his legacy of business and philanthropic excellence. The fund is inspired by Carlos' commitment to academic achievement and leadership development. A graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., Carlos Enrique was the former president of the Cisneros Television Group. Named as a "Global Leader for Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum and "Citizen of the Year" by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, Cisneros was widely recognized for his ability to use his successful business profile to support education and the arts and to reach out to those in need. His passion and involvement in the community were hallmarks of his hands-on approach to business and philanthropy.
